This course is held on a scheduled Saturday from 8-5 with classroom instruction and a live-fire range qualification. Upon completion of the course, attendees will be issued a Certificate of Completion which is required to obtain a North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit. Class sizes are limited to 10 students to maintain a low student to instructor ratio while live-firing at the range, as well as to ensure an optimal learning environment. You may bring and use your own pistol, or use one of our .22 caliber pistols at no additional charge. No magnums or calibers larger than .45 ACP please.

Classes are available for private groups upon request with a minimum of five students.

This course is specifically designed to meet the state’s requirements for obtaining a concealed carry permit and is not specifically intended to be a basic pistol shooting course. If you are not confident in your ability to safely handle, load and unload, and live-fire a pistol, please consider attending one of our NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting or our NRA Women on Target® courses prior to attending this Concealed Carry course.
